As part of our continuing efforts to upgrade our parish grounds, the Parish Council has approved a project to replace the existing sign on Lomas Blvd. by the entrance/exit to our parking lot. The current sign is quite dated and uses the removable plastic letters to spell out a message. The new sign would mount on the existing blue poles. The sign would be two-sided, facing East and West. The top one-third of the sign would be constant and have the image of Our Lady of Fatima and say “Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and School.” This portion would be lit up from the inside at night. The bottom two-thirds of the sign would be composed of three horizontal rows of LED modules on which we could display images as well as static or scrolling messages in multiple colors and in a large variety of fonts. The messages on the sign could be changed instantaneously via the internet so we would no longer have to have someone climb a ladder and replace the plastic letters manually. The brightness, the colors, and the movement of the messages would certainly attract the attention of traffic passing by on Lomas and be a wonderful addition to our campus. The sign could promote Mass times, parish events, and school activities, among others.
The installed cost of the sign is estimated to be $35,300. We have already received donations of $24,000.
Can you help us achieve our goal of raising the remaining $11,300 necessary to make this sign a reality?
