On Friday, January 24th, the Archdiocese of Santa Fe mailed out a letter from Archbishop Wester and a pledge form for the 2020 Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) Campaign. This mail-out went to every family in a parish in the Archdiocese who has made an ACA pledge in the past three years. Remember that the ACA is not the tithing we do for our own parish for the Sunday offertory.
The renewal of tithing takes place every November. In February, we are all asked to make a commitment pledge to the ACA which supports many of the ministries of the Archdiocese, including the costs associated with the education and spiritual formation of our seminarians preparing for the priesthood and many other ministries. If you have received the pledge form by mail, you may fill it out and return it in the envelope provided. If you did not receive a pledge form by mail, additional copies are located at the doors of the church.
Our assigned goal for the 2020 ACA Campaign is $46,000. Every pledge is important in helping us to meet or exceed that goal. Please remember that the Annual Catholic Appeal Foundation is not part of the Chapter 11 reorganization that was filed by the Archdiocese of Santa Fe in December, 2018. The ACA is separately incorporated and funding from your pledge is not available for legal claims. The ACA remains a significant source of funding for ministries, programs, and services of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.
